Chef Schools Launched In London & Manchester

16th Feb 2011

Town and City Pub Company has launched two chef schools, one in Manchester, the other in London. Chefs and kitchen managers within the business will get the opportunity to improve and hone their kitchen techniques by participating in a 16 week course. Participants will showcase their new skills by creating a dinner for senior management and industry figures at the end of their course. Chefs from La Tasca Spanish Tapas restaurants will also join the course. Perry Huntley, head of food development, said: "The chefs from Slug and Lettuce and La Tasca who took part in the Chef School course in London last year demonstrated great aptitude and enthusiasm for the course. They have successfully transferred the skills learnt into their day to day roles, gaining confidence in their ability and generating a buzz about the course. It is with this in mind that we decided to introduce a programme for T&C chefs and kitchen managers based in the North and in London and the South East. We hope to attract more talented and enthusiastic people who wish to develop a career in hospitality to join the group."
